Can I earn any Spanish proficiency official certifications?

Can I earn any Spanish proficiency official certifications?

We recommend obtaining the DELE (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) certification for Spanish language learners. There are up to six levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2) to take, and if you let us prepare you, you're very likely to pass. Our pass rate for the DELE exam is around 95%.

As a new feature, we also include a program that will prepare you to obtain the SIELE (International Spanish Language Evaluation Service) certificate, which certifies your knowledge for admission to undergraduate and graduate programs at universities in the Spanish-speaking world.

Prerequisites for the official DELE/SIELE certification

Which level do you need to certify? What is your current Spanish level? Defining your goal is the first step. For studies or work, most universities and companies ask for B1 or B2. If your purpose is Spanish nationality, A2 is enough.

Remember: you can only take the DELE or SIELE exam that matches your current level. Preparation courses are not to raise your level, but to practice with real past exams, understand the format, and gain the confidence you need to succeed.

Not sure about your level? Take our quick written placement test and get instant results by e-mail. For a precise evaluation, contact us on WhatsApp and book an oral test.

If you are a beginner but need to certificate for the DELE B1 or higher, you’ll first need to progress with our Intensive Spanish Courses before preparing for the DELE exam.

Which course to choose? Examples

- Start with the Intensive Course to boost your level, then add the specific DELE/SIELE Preparation Module 1–4 weeks before the exam.

In general, students complete level A1 in 6 weeks of Intensive classes, A2: 6 weeks, B1: 9 weeks, B2: 12 weeks, C1: 12 weeks and C2: 15 weeks or more.

Or

6 weeks are necessary to complete level A1
+ other 6 weeks to complete level A2
+ other 9 weeks to complete level B1
+ other 12 weeks to complete level B2
+ other 12 weeks to complete level C1
+ other 15 weeks or more to complete level C2

For example, you will need 21 weeks to complete the B1 level if you start from zero or 33 weeks to complete the B2 level.

- If you already have the appropriate level for the exam you want to take, you will not have to take intensive classes beforehand and you can directly book Intensive + DELE classes between 1 and 4 weeks before the scheduled exam date.
