30th Anniversary Celebration

30th Anniversary Celebration

Last week Cervantes Escuela Internacional held a special party to celebrate its 30th Anniversary. There were two celebrations. The first with students on Thursday and the second was held on Saturday when the school staff came together with the school's agents and friends.

In the celebration with students there was dancing and a lot of Spanish food. We had a live performance by a typical Spanish Tuna who sang popular songs and was really enjoyed by the students.

The celebration on Saturday began with a tasting of some of the most typical and delicious tapas in the Spanish cuisine and afterwards a special tribute was paid to the director of Cervantes Escuela Internacional over the last 30 years, Paola Moreno. A photo tour was shown of these 30 years as well as a current video which presented the experiences of students who are currently studying at Cervantes Escuela Internacional. There were also numerous surprise congratulations from past students of Cervantes EI from different parts of the world who didn´t want to miss this unique and special event.

Paola Moreno, 30 years photo tour

The director, Paola Moreno, revisited how she began and founded Cervantes Escuela Internacional and thanked the great support she has always received from her team and, in the end, Paola Peña (Paola Moreno's daughter) surprised her mother with a 30th Anniversary cake. The candles were blown out by Paola Moreno and the whole team.

And as a great finishing touch we had a performance from one of our more important and televised Malaga artists, La Pili, who performed a show dedicated to Spanish film soundtracks. Her heartfelt interpretation of some of Spanish music's biggest hits was a delight for everyone. The signature style and charisma of La Pili weren´t lacking on Saturday night and some of the songs were interpreted off stage in between the public.
