Payment conditions

To confirm your booking, a deposit of €250 must be paid. This deposit is deducted from the total price and is not an additional cost.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 2 weeks before arrival.

After submitting the enrollment form, you will receive payment instructions by email. You can pay by bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, credit/debit card through PayPal (no PayPal account required), or via TransferMate, which is especially recommended for international transfers.

Last-minute bookings and visa-related bookings require full payment upfront.

Enrollment cancellations / Refunds

1. Before the course start date

  • Cancellations are free of charge if notified at least 7 days before the course start date.
  • If the cancellation is made within the last 7 days before the course begins, a €250 cancellation fee will apply.
  • All cancellations must be notified in writing (email).

2. Once the course has started

  • Once the course has started, no refunds will be granted for the course or accommodation.
  • In exceptional circumstances, a credit note may be issued, valid for up to 12 months from the date granted.
  • After this 12-month period, the credit expires.

3. Visa related cancellations

  • Students who require any type of invitation letter to obtain a student visa for their course and subsequently have to cancel due to denial of the visa, must send an original official certified document directly from the Embassy. If Cervantes EI does not receive this document, 100% of the program cost will be charged. A refund will not be possible in the period of time between the student receiving the visa letter and submitting the application for the visa, including if the student decides not to apply for the visa for any reason.
  • If Cervantes EI does not receive this document, 100% of the program cost will be charged.
  • Cancellations for students who already obtained a visa will only be considered once proof is provided that the visa is no longer valid and the student has returned to their country of origin.
  • All cancellations will incur a cancellation penalty of 250 € of the advance payment.
  • For cancellations made less than 6 weeks before the start date, the minimum charge of the cancellation fee is the cancellation penalty of 250€ plus 2 weeks of program and accommodation.
  • For cancellations made less than 2 weeks or ‘no show’ of the student for any reason, you will be charged the cost of 4 weeks for the program (course and/or accommodation) plus all extras reserved in your confirmed booking
  • We cannot be held responsible for cancellations due to Acts of God, health issues, or personal problems.
  • All reimbursements we incur an administrative fee to cover the administrative costs of returning your money. The administrative fee charged will be 10% of the amount to be refunded (with a minimum of 55 €). Refunds will be made via bank transfer and will carry a minimum administration fee of 35 €.
  • For cancellations after an invitation letter has been issued, the penalty will be the one explained above, plus the cost of sending the invitation letter if the student had selected the express courier option.

Exceptional circumstances

Holidays in Madrid

There are no lessons on bank or public holidays and classes lost on those dates cannot be made up at other times. If there are 2 bank holidays in the same week, the school will give classes on one of these days. Classes missed due to public holidays will not be recovered. You need to take into account that if there is a bank holiday on Sunday, the celebration of this holiday will move to Monday. However the lost hours of the private classes can always be made up.

Subject to the limitations in the terms and conditions indicated in the above sections and to the extent permitted by law, we will only be liable for direct damages caused by an attributable shortcoming of our obligations with respect to our services, up to a total amount equivalent to our commission.

To the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for (i) any punitive and consequential loss of damages; (ii) any inaccuracy relating to the information of the partner school as made available on our platform; (iii) the services provided by the partner school or the accommodation provider or their failure to provide these services; (iv) any damages arising from the use or inability to use our website; (v) any possible changes (course, classes, accommodation) that the partner schools are obligated to make; (vi) any (personal) injury, death, property damage, or damage attributable to the partner school or accommodation provider whose services are offered via our platform, including cancellation, strikes, force majeure, or any other event out of our control. The offering of services on our website does not constitute any endorsement or recommendation of such services by Cervantes & Cervantes DEBLA SL and Spanish & Internship Consultant SL.

You acknowledge and accept the partner school is solely responsible and assumes all responsibility and liability regarding the provision of courses, activities, and accommodation. Cervantes & Cervantes DEBLA SL and Spanish & Internship Consultant SL do not act as the merchant of record and are not a (re)seller of any products or services available on our platform. Any claims related to the services provided should be made directly to the school/ accommodation provider. Cervantes & Cervantes DEBLA SL and Spanish & Internship Consultant SL are not responsible for and disclaim any liability with respect to such claims.

Jurisdiction and dispute resolution

These terms and the provision of our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Spanish Law. Any disputes arising from these general terms and conditions shall be exclusively submitted to the competent courts in Malaga, Spain. Notwithstanding for consumers, the law may foresee other rules regarding jurisdiction.
