About Seville

Seville, the capital of Andalusia, has a rich Moorish heritage and was once a prosperous port trading with the Americas due to its location along the banks of the Guadalquivir River. Still lively and busy, the streets and squares of the historic quarter treasure many World Heritage sites and buildings and with many districts are full of traditional cultural such Triana and La Macarena.

Seville is a major business and service center in South Spain and has a large variety of hotels distributed throughout the city which allows visitors to discover its endless attractions. Among the many leisure options that Seville boasts are museums and art centers, theme parks, cinemas, theaters and clubs and of course the numerous terraces and bars where one can discover and enjoy one of the most deeply-rooted and appetizing traditions:"Going out for tapas".

The Sevillian festivals give another wonderful excuse to visit this great city. Easter Week celebrations and the April Fair Feria de Abril) have been declared events of National Tourist Interest. These festivals reflect the devotion and folklore of Seville and showcase Sevillian friendly and open hospitality to visitors.

Seville´s appeal does not end there. The Andalusian capital is the starting point for many cultural routes, including the Roman Bética Route and the Washington Irving route.
